FEB 27 2010 POLICE VERIFYING IF DUDU USING DRUG MONEY TO FUND TERROR ACTIVITIES
Police are verifying whether alleged drug dealer David Driham alias Dudu, 34,WAS USING DRUG MONEY TO FUND TERRORIST ACTIVITIES.“We suspect that he could have been using drug money to sponsor terrorist activities. We are in the process of verifying this,” said police sources.
Meanwhile, during interrogations, Dudu has revealed to the police the different ways in which drugs land up in Goa, sources said. “Dudu revealed that a major chunk of drugs are brought into Goa from Mumbai by road. The drugs are transported by the rich, in their expensive vehicles, which often escape police searches and the consignment is directly delivered in the coastal belt,” sources told TOI.
SP ANC VEENU BANSAL SAID, ” DUDU HAS TOLD US CERTAIN THINGS.But we are in the PROCESS OF VERIFYING THIS and it would be too early to comment.”

Superintendent of police (ANC) Veenu Bansal and his wife Garima Gupta, director of Industries, trade and commerce, have been transferred from Goa to Arunachal Pradesh.
Bansal, who was instrumental in arresting Israeli drug dealer David Driham alias Dudu, was recently involved in a controversy as he was seen angling with friends aboard a patrol boat belonging to the marine police. A photograph published in a newspaper had shown Bansal`s guests wearing life jackets meant for Goa’s coastal security police force.
