TEAM8 — THE UNIT 8200 SPY SYNDICATE

Team8 is an Israeli cyber security team Its top leadership consists entirely of supposedly former members of Israel’s infamous cyber warfare cell Unit 8200

WHAT GUARANTEE IS THERE THAT THE THREE AREN’T STILL WORKING FOR ISRAELI INTELLIGENCE ?

How did the US Intelligence allow these US incorporated companies to tie up with former Israeli  cyber  Intelligence heads ?

Would Israel allow former NSA heads or cyber intelligence chiefs of any other nation to create companies and then tie up with Israeli tech companies ?

In January 2017 Team8, founded by veterans of an elite Israeli intelligence unit , welcomed Citigroup Inc. and the venture arms of Microsoft Corp. and Qualcomm Inc. into its syndicate.

The group of military veterans, who have raised more than $92 million, plan to launch two companies this year. Existing portfolio companies Illusive Networks Ltd., which entices hackers to trigger an alarm by planting false data, and Claroty, whose platform secures critical industrial infrastructure, generated $22 million in sales last year.

Team8 starts with a research team that pinpoints and seeks to solve a major cyber vulnerability, then spins off the technology into a company that gets initial financing from the group. (There’s nothing preventing the former Unit 8200 group from “creating vulnerabilities ” then getting financing to “destroy the vulnerability”)

Qualcomm, Microsoft and Citigroup join the group’s existing syndicate partners, who include  Cisco Systems Inc. AT&T Inc., Accenture Plc, Nokia OYJ, Temasek Holdings and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc.  Team8 employs 180 people in Israel, the U.S., the U.K. and Singapore and plans to hire another 100 staffers this year. Microsoft and Qualcomm made undisclosed investments in the group, Zafrir said. Source

In June 2017 Intel the largest chipmaker in the world joined the “Syndicate”

Team8 (consisting exclusively of former Unit 8200 members)  has already launched two cyber companies, Claroty and Illusive Networks, and two others will follow suit soon.

Team8 co-founder and CEO Nadav Zafrir told Reuters that one company will  move out of stealth mode in a few weeks while another will do the same in early 2018 without elaborating.

He noted that each of the syndicate members has a different perspective on cyber.

Intel will also collaborate with Illusive, which catches attackers once they break into corporate networks using deception technologies, to help combat so-called advanced persistent threats (APTs).

Intel’s tie up with Team8 was in all probability smoothed by the fact that  Jacob Mendel, general manager of Intel’s platform security division is Jewish

JUST IMAGINE WHAT THESE (FORMER???) ISRAELI CYBER INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS AND THEIR TEAMS CAN DO WITH ACCESS TO SECURITY ARCHITECTURE OF IT GIANTS
